This page is one of the drawbacks of the internet.
You have a guy who offers something and says "you can download from the link below". so you have to scroll through his ads to see a little "download" image. so you click it and it takes to to another page for a shared site with pop-ups and again, no way to actually download.

Does this template even work? when uploaded or even copy/pasted, Blogger says it won't work as it's not parsed correctly.

This error message is given because HTML templates are not "well formed". HTML templates are incompatible with the new blogger unless you have chosen to retain the Classic template AFTER migrating to the new Blogger.
